Every April, Bayonne hosts the Ham Fair, a must-attend event for all charcuterie lovers.
In 2025, the festival will take place from Thursday, April 10 to Sunday, April 13, the perfect opportunity to discover or rediscover this Basque tradition!

A history dating back several centuries
The Ham Fair has its roots in the reign of Louis XV, who organized annual fairs in Bayonne. Originally, the event was a ham market intended to celebrate the end of Lent and prepare for Easter festivities.
Over the centuries, this fair has become a must-attend event, and ham sales have become the main attraction.
A Culinary and Popular Festival!
Beyond the ham market, the fair transforms into a true popular festival. The streets of Bayonne pulsate with tastings and Basque shows.
Visitors can discover local products, such as Espelette pepper powder, Ossau-Iraty cheese, and of course, Bayonne ham in all its forms.
The event attracts thousands of visitors every year!
